                                                   Abstract:

We present a gentle introduction to motivic integration. The integral with respect to the Euler characteristic will be discussed as a simple type of motivic integration. Then we will focus on Cluckers-Loeser theory, emphasizing results coming from model theory. Several perspectives of this type of integration will be mentioned explicitly.
