Title: Veronese curves, arc spaces and global Demazure modules.
Abstract: Arc spaces are obtained from a given finite-dimensional scheme by replacing the base field with the ring of series in one variable. We will start with the Veronese embeddings of the projective line. We will consider the coordinate ring of the corresponding reduced arc space and provide its description in terms of the global Demazure modules for the Lie algebra sl(2). We will then touch upon the generalization to the case of the embeddings of general flag varieties and to the case of certain toric varieties.
