Title: “(∞, 2)-categories and where to find them”

Abstract: In this talk I will briefly review some of the reasons why ∞-categories were introduced

in the first place. Then I will present you with some recent results in (mostly algebraic)

geometry, which need a formalism of (∞, 2)-categories in order to be stated and proved.

Finally, I will show what has been done so far to fill this technical gap in the literature.

The talk is going to be pretty informal and I will try to prioritize ideas over formally correct

statements and technical definitions.
