We translate the condition of (x,y,z) being<br \/>\nsolution of Fermat&#8217;s equation x^n+y^n=z^n to a robust system of<br \/>\np-adic recursion relations (to which we refer as &#8220;zipper equations&#8221;).<br \/>\nFor n=3 we will show that the zipper relations admit no solution.
