You can find the updated list of speakers and abstracts for the seminar at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/adoronmath.wordpress.com\/colloquium\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/adoronmath.wordpress.com\/colloquium\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The zoom link for our meetings is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/j\/83337601824\">https:\/\/us02web.zoom.us\/j\/83337601824<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time:&nbsp;<strong>14:00<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abstract: The talk will introduce parahoric groups and Bruhat-Tits group schemes and torsors and relate them to representations of Fuchsian groups.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The classical work of Seshadri and Mehta on parabolic bundles when seen from this new perspective gives a somewhat&nbsp;new manner of realizing parahoric groups as &#8220;equivariant automorphisms of torsors&#8221;. This new perspective opens up possible&nbsp;generalizations of Bruhat-Tits theory to higher dimensional bases. The talk will be reasonably self-contained and will contain basic examples.
